A moral dilemma...
Upon arriving home today, I was welcomed on my front porch with a non-descript cardboard box. I examined the label, and the addresse was not myself, nor those who lived here before me, nor my immediate neighbors. Furthermore, the address was exactly correct; there could be no mistake that it was meant to come here.
Some additional information: The package says "perishable", and comes from M rs. Fields, that doyen of fine cookies known the world over.
So, do I take the cookies and eat them, knowing with certainty that they would be quite tasty, or, do I attempt to rectify the situation, get the cookies to their rightful owner, and risk the cookies losing their divine flavor in the process?
The choice is all yours.
