I have the same problem with my writing. It reached the point where I gave up on my writing, opting instead to just get drunk and "have fun".

Monies are kinda important, but going and talking to artists will help too. I looked into different people and places for a year before I went to get my branding. Met with the guy(blair) something like 6 months beforehand to get everything worked out.
