So yep, I'm moving.
Not permanently; for a year or so, then we'll be coming back to Seattle. But in the near future we will be relocating to the exciting and fun-filled metropolis of Fort Wayne (Indiana). And yes, I know I'm nutty to be going in the WRONG DIRECTION, as all my friends are telling me, but I am in need of a change of pace and some culture shock. I've been here for about 10 years and I've definitely carved out some ruts that I can't climb out of right now. Going to Alaska like I originally planned would be a good vacation, but I think an actual relocation is in order.
And I'm not so naive to think this will solve all of my laziness problems by any stretch... but I'm hoping that being somewhere totally unfamiliar, and carving out a niche, will help me get a better idea of what I want to do with myself.
We (the bf and me) will be leaving March 7th, it appears. That will let me finish my yoga class and have a week off work before we do the drive. The bossman took my notice better than I thought, but I'm sort of gleeful about sticking it to him when he's understaffed. Serves him right for scaring away all the new hires
