kittyvalentine:
Awwwwwww. blush

You are my favourite new friend on here too!

What's the deal with work tomorrow? Just general apathy or something specific?
tiger_fodder:
These days I prefer to be at work. surreal

Ugh knackered.

This used to be easier, a year of idless and l'ennui francais sure gives the work ethic a knock. I'm sure I'll get used to 5 nights a week, three of them 14 hour doubles again, but for now, I just need the rest. I'm staying at this restaurant through christmas (for the bonuses) then taking my two weeks paid vacation in january...

He never fails to suprise me, even five years after his death.

Last night I bought a pastel of a naked lady for a pint and some cpnversation...

There are things about this place that please me, and most of them are in the neighborhood called Mosley, it's full of artists, musicians and weirdos (some of them with dreadlocks and pitt bulls, just like home,...

I would like them a lot more if I was on a reasonable amount of drugs. Seems like some hessian music to me.

Not to say that I don't like stoner jams.

Goodness have I become borning?

Nah. Probably just nesting.

Work is good, not great, good. The food is nothing to be ashamed of, but the batches are too big and the tendancy is to prep 3 days in advance. Which is fine, except that it's summer and I would like to see muc h more fresh produce. The money is right, and I don't want...

Forgive me in advance if I've misunderstood your comment:

1. Oh yes what a time it was.

2. SDRE was totally part of that time period-or am I thinking '95 on? I never cared for them but I remember post high school friends did...so maybe i'm wrong on my years. smile

3. Oh Elliott...thank you, that was one of my favorite songs. I believe that was his best album, too.

4. Sup Pop selling out by '89? I know they were bought out for Bleach but I never associated them with sell out. I still think they're putting out good music today.

Thanks for reading my yapping. smile

Urgh. I may have to break the rule I've set myself in the last few months and get in touch with the ex and ask him very nicely to keep my stuff until the new year, so I can just have my stuff moved to Brighton instead. Will save hassle and money, maybe. We'll see!

I've heard dribs and drabs of Neutral Milk Hotel. So far I've liked what I've heard. Another of the myriad of bands/artists I should be listening to more. smile

Still in Cali. The British Consulate is behind and I am stuck here for another week, without my Symbidium.frown

There is still a small chance I may not get the visa, in which case I have already said goodbye to her for 6 months...

Gotta keep busy...

any of y'all in the Bay Area? Want to entertain me?

so jealous of your trip..i should use it as an inspiration to get my ass into gear.

my mum was born in italy and my dad was born in croatia so i qualify for a dual euro passport, which from what i/ve heard can be a pain in the ass to obtain, but will be totally worth it and then we can wine and dine and reap havoc in foreign lands.
gigondas:
I want Italy.

In england... which is stranger than I had expected, not bad, strange.

I am beat, knackered, bushed, and I am really looking forward to sleeping in a bed tonight after a month in a tent...

I'll give a proper update soon when I get settled.

The trip was amazing, 12 countries 5000 km... 25 varieties of beer drank...
