I suck at blogging. Who has time? Anyhow:
We've decided to keep Pip (we've named the little black kitty Peregrin -- yes, I'm that much of a geek). He managed to damage himself about two days after my last post, got in a fight and cut his leg open which became abscessed and had to be lanced and stitched. So, after "investing" in him, gotta keep him. Not to mention he's the cutest damn thing ever. He has a foot fetish, when you start petting him he will immediately shove his face into your feet (if they are accessible) and then flop himself over onto your feet/legs. Really cute/odd.
The plot thickens... a couple weeks after Pip decided he was our cat, another black cat showed up in our house. Sort of a smoky black, white undercoat with black outer coat. Pip's brother. Literally. Exact same face. I think Pip was the scout and now they are bringing all the siblings in one at a time, staggering them so we can acclimate. He is really cool looking, has a very interesting look with longer, down soft fur (he is unbelievably soft) and kinked tail (the tip of his tail makes a 90 degree turn, making it look like a puff ball at the tip). Oh, and he is a polydactyl, has seven toes on his front feet -- they look like thumbs! He doesn't meow, instead he makes a cooing sound. Quite adorable, but he is a little more skittish than Pip, he gets nervous at any quick movements or loud noises. Very friendly, he's coming around. But, seriously... three cats?! That is seriously pushing the border between "normal pets" and "crazy cat people". Not to say we're close, but there just seems to be a line between two and three, that seems to be a big difference -- it becomes a part of your personality description at three. You are officially a cat person. And only a couple of cats from crazy cat person. I digress. Haven't gotten any good pics yet (will soon, I promise) but.. .anyone want a super snazzy, unique, silky soft, cooing little smoke colored kitty? We'll keep him if nobody wants him, but this is a dangerous trend -- what if another brother shows up?! We call him Tweak (my current fav name for him), Cooey McCoos a Lot, Chewie (as in Chewbacca), Spooky (no relation), Monkey (he uses the extra claws as thumbs), and Monster.

2 cats = normal (you want your cat to have a friend)
3 cats = cat lover extraordinare
4 cats = that's just too many cats
5 cats = CRAZY CAT PERSON ALERT!
