Yay! Success! What a busy day.
The car is fixed, replaced the solenoid of the starter (how the hell did a SCREW get into the starter in the first place) and a new battery. The french are fine automotive engineers, but tend to place the components in places that are very difficult to access. But problem solved!
Also the chat with my business unit manager went better than expected. She will be working harder in the near future. A couple years ago I made myself the promise I would never again fire anyone. That has been hard, but worthwhile. People can't improve absent investment in them. Sometimes the investment is money, other times it is time, and more often the investment is personal. I like seeing people succeed and hate seeing them fail. Of course if I pay someone R206k year I would like to see some ROI as well. Fingers crossed that things will go better.
But all of that is just news. Good news, but just news.
Tomorrow I am going through to a client to sign a new, big contract with a client to plan, manage and implement a national roll-out of a new venture. There is nothing I appreciate as much as a challenge. And the money is nice to.
So to celebrate, here is a picture of one of my cats. Her name is Apache and she is FLUFFY!

Awesome, congrats!
Yup, hiking was tons and tons of fun. Will do it again as soon as I get a chance.
