So I had a great time on my mini vacation. I, as usual, overestimated the drama of a family gathering and for the first time in I don't know how many visits I actually got to see downtown Atlanta.
Ate at a really cool restuarant in Little Five Points and went to several great little shops. Such communities give me hope that one day I too could start my own business.
I also really had some quality bonding with my little nephew. He at times successfully gets me to waiver on my stance on the no-kiddies for me thing until he has a meltdown. Then I remember why birth control is a wonderful thing. The poor child will probably always associate me with blinding flashes as I photograph him almost every time he turns around. It's cute really. Every time he sees the camera he stops whatever he's doing and grins as he says "cheeeeeese!" My mom and I got him to Ost, which is cheese in Norweigan.
Landlord called yesterday and confirmed our move out date. So now is the move search moving forward in earnest. Yuk! I hate the whole process. Oh well, hubby and I are hoping that the next move will hopefully be a place we can call our own.
Hope is a wonderful thing to have. I think it's in my backpocket, but I'm not sure
