I wouldn't consider myself a hardcore gamer, but I do love to play any game I can manage to get my hands on. I'm more than a casual gamer, but less than a serious one.
I play for fun, not for blood.
Anyhow, the last time I fell in love, butterflies in my stomach, and googly eyes was when I first bought my Xbox 360. I was mesmerized. Infatuated.
We were in inseparable. Then, we got comfortable with each other. We started arguing, and he caught the Red Ring of Death at Christmas last year. I was heartbroken, but I had faith we could fix our relationship. He came back to me from therapy and we discovered our love again. Burnout Paradise brought us closer together than I could have dreamed. Then a few Xbox Live games later and we were talking about our future again. Unfortunately we drifted apart over the summer when a new lover came into my life. My Nintendo Wii. Microsoft was jealous, but in the back of my mind I knew no matter how hard the Nintendo tried, there just wasn't a competition between the two. Xbox would forever hold my heart.
Then came the most beautiful game I've ever seen ... Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe.
And then the revamped, wonderfully executed Xbox Live (with NetFlix!!!) and it's like we've renewed our vows. We are inseparable once again and my heart is aflutter. ♥
