This might be a little bit romantic but my favorite beverage has to be a beer with friends or going to a brewery to appreciate the art of it. I have a fascination with brewing and it all started when I was a kid and my Dad took us to BJ's. The one in Brea, still has its distillery and you can see them brew the beer. Something about my Dad drinking their Jeremiah Red was just awe strucking to me that I knew I had to have it. Now granted, it led down a road of a lot of troublemaking, long nights, hazy mornings, but there's still something about after a long day gathering with some friends or coming home to just crack open a beer and just that first sip...truly relaxes you.
There is an art to it, knowing which hops work together, when to blend batches, time, temperature, so many things that you appreciate a beer more. I love the breweries more than a bar because for the most part, it's not about getting drunk. It's about the community; A lot of breweries are dog friendly, brought my pups all the time, they have board games, GIANT JENGA WAS MY SHIT, food trucks, No Ma's burgers will murder but yeah I take a bite, just everything was so inviting! Plus the machinery was awe too look at and if you talked to the brewers; you got a sense of pride that you probably wouldn't get from a Budlight brewer.
Gah I miss breweries. But yeah I'll keep this one brief, beer is my favorite beverage. Not for the drunk factor, not for the taste, but for the art. More so, it's nice to kick back, tell stories, and take a sip of a good beer.
