I've been a fighter. Fought a long time and been driven to make myself better for the long run. Seriously, I'm haunted and convict myself heavily for my past. Finally, I've gotten to a place where I'm improving and feel like I'm becoming a better man. However, my downfall is I have been fighting a long time where I've become bitter and locked up just the battle did a number on me. Same goes for my friend, Gaby, so she read this article for I guess mental healing so she challenged both of us to partake in it. One of the items is write a daily "Gratitude Journal" where each day you write three things you're grateful for. I'm doing it here cause as always, if it can help me, if it can help others, then it's golden. Also I've always felt the safest here to talk.
So Here we go:
I'm grateful I woke up. It's a long journey through sleep from the time you close your eyes till you open them. Someone, somewhere, probably didn't make it. So I'm grateful I did cause it means I have a life and I still have a chance.
I'm grateful for my job; I love working at the bar being a bar manager, meeting different people, learning new skills, to be able to help me grow professionally. Some people just work just to work but I'm grateful that I can make decent money, learn, and be content going to work.
I'm grateful that my grandparents are okay. Guess today there was another earthquake in Ecuador and there was a brief communication lapse. Spent my morning trying to get ahold of them to make sure they're fine. I got the message that they're alive and cant wait to see me next week. Their visit is special cause this is probably the last time we'll physically see each other; They'll be moving from Ecuador soon and next August, I start my adventure to everywhere. So I'm grateful that they're okay so I can hug them again.
Well that's three things! Today was long but today was good.
What are you grateful for?
Take it easy my dudes, if no one told you then I'll say Good morning, Good afternoon, and Good night!
