I have been watching Star Trek episodes in order for about 3 weeks. I have come to the conclusion in more certain terms than before that Star Wars could not ever possibly lose in a battle versus Star Trek.
Star Trek:
Large slow ships.
Medium slow ships.
Small slow ships.
Poor handling.
Poorly designed instrument consoles (explosives laden).
No seat belts.
Poorly designed instrument consoles (press 100 buttons when you land on console from not having seat belts).
Poor targeting systems. (1km long ship misses 1km ship at 1km)
Shields that let damage through.
Poorly designed computer, humans do all the work. (reroute power to..)

Star Wars:
Large slow ships.
Small fast ships.
Medium fast ships.
Amazing handling.
Oldschool consoles that only explode when the whole ship does.
Seat belts, so you don't fly aroud the cabin while trying to shoot.
Amazing targeting systems, can hit 2m target at full speed under fire without the system. Even gimps can hit edge of 2m target.
Shileds that work until they fail.
Driods that fix damage right after it happens.

I'm not even sure that the Star Trek ships can run faster, Hyperdrive looks faster than Warp 9. In a war, they would lose. The only benefit that Star Trek has is the ability to use any part in place of another part on the ship, it's like a MacGyver ship. I can reroute the EPS conduit to fix your sonic shower by focusing it with the deflector dish, cleaning the entire planet at the same time. In the end. they would still lose. Voyager is a really bad series. DS9 was much better.
