Hey everyone. So I'm doing this because I have about 3o-50ish minutes to kill between sessions of recording. It won't be insanely long I promise you. This is going to be a list of all of the things I am so I never have to be asked these questions again. It'll also help you see past the bio section here (at least for me) and you can decide if I'm someone you'd like to associate with. I'm doing this not because of anyone here, but because this happens to be a problem in multiple places we would or do hang out on, social media wise. Okay? Here we go.
So, New Years is coming up and I'm already sure of what I'll be doing for my resolution. Yes, I only have one. Why? Because more than that at the onset of the new year will nuke my ambition to do anything. So, as the year progresses and I've successfully nailed the one I started with, I can do a new on. Like modules. There. Explanation past the first paragraph, done. Now here's the things I stand for in a list with explanation further, so no one is confused.
1) I'm a leftist. Yep, it's true. I don't know why most would see my page and think otherwise but just in case you now know. What kind of leftist? Well, I'm to the left of progressive if that helps? I'd say nowadays, I'm even beyond democratic socialist and firmly in the socialist camp. If you think socialists, and/or leftists can only end up as failed "leftist" ideologies of the past, you're sorely mistaken but if you feel that way, move on from here as we will not get along once we figure out this topic about one another.
2) I am a feminist but not beyond rational feminism. What does that mean? Well, if you're a TERF (Trans exclusionary radical feminist) a rad fem or anything unreasonable, I will not interact with you. Everyone deserves to be accepted and/or loved and I find your lack of care for people having equal basic human rights appalling. Enough said.
3) Incels and men's rights activists aren't groups I would ever endorse. There is no argument to be had at all here as with number 2 of the list. Why? Well, incels and the men's rights activists have gone one shade deeper insidious by labeling it something so seemingly banal. There used to be normal groups in men's rights but those were taken over with the procession of time on places they first were (Example: MGTOW of old on 4chan and the dad's that wanted their rights to see their children after divorce if they were decent human beings) posting by insane, anti-women hating lunatics.
4) I'm an anti-Zionist, anti-Semitism is disgusting and racist. Yes, I'm against the current (and the past really) incarnation of Israel and it's treatment of the people of Palestine/Gaza and other areas in the Middle East. There is indeed a difference hence, why this is an entry on this list. anti-Zionist is opposed to the slaughter of innocents and anti-Semites are racist pieces of shit. Now, having said that, if you think that Palestinians are a monolith like people think Jewish people are, you're already someone I don't want to associate with. Are the people of Palestine innocent? Yes, like the Israelis are that haven't engaged in the terrorism that goes back and forth and the associated and unreasonable hate that comes with it. Israel as a government has gotten away with a power imbalance for almost a century now, 75ish years to be more exact. Do I think HAMAS is good? No, emphatically no. There are many reasons as to why this all still goes on. I'm not here to debate the finer points of this. If you're against what I've said and you were thinking of talking to me or you do, I apologize but you'll find no reason to be here and I won't want you here. Now, having said all of this...
5) I hate Imperialists and Imperialism. That includes the USA and all other allied countries and "enemy" countries out there that engage in these practices. If you're pro Imperialist (I cannot understand why, but okay) you can piss off. I don't even care to be polite about this one. My country, the USA engages in disgusting shit globally all the time. Need proof see their cooperation on topic 4 in this list. Done with this one, moving on.
6) Racists are disgusting. Yep, a little more of a continuation from 4 and 5 but, it needs to be said. If you're racist about anyone, please fuck off and die. I will not like you and you'll hate me. I am increasingly finding out that no matter where you go, these people will hide their racism from you and gaslight you when you find them out. Refuse them and don't engage in conversation with them. There's a reason their bottom rung humans and that's all for this one.
There. This list is now complete. A massive thank you to all whom read this and may you have a fantastic rest of the day and weekend! I really can't say enough how much I respect and love the friends I've made here. I hope this wasn't an eye opener to anyone I do engage with here already, if it is, I don't know what to tell you.
Other than that, I did this purely because these topics come up out of nowhere all over the internet and social media sites and I for one, am tired of explaining my positions and/or saddened every time someone seems normal and ends up being a garbage human being in some way. Also, yeah, some of this is covered in the "bio" section here but, these need more nuance sometimes and so I figured I'd give you an extended answer to some of these topics as well as explain my position on ones that don't need "bio" status.
Look at it this way, if you're like: "Yeah dude, I've seen your bio, this is nothing new to me." Cool! You know what to rationally expect from the bio's limited answer choices and you're right, this shouldn't even be something I or anyone else needs to do. However it's increasingly apparent that other people on the internet have no fucking idea what those answers rationally mean and try to wedge themselves in to agreement when they certainly do not agree with you or they just think they will do so, until someone angers them, they get found out or they (weirdly enough) don't seem to understand what they are, when it comes to these areas of discussion for whatever reason.
