I dig the sparseness and cold atmosphere of the first track. Some very unique, novel harmonies both on tracks one and two. I also like the choice of instrumentation on track two. Takes the energy up a notch. A bit of electroclash feel. The minimalism works well. Nice use of tension/dissonance. I’m digging the modern bass drum. Cool Kraftwerk vibe. It’s complex without being “prog”. You have crafted a very unique sound for yourself. Track 3 takes it up another notch. Almost a Nine Inch Nails atmosphere. Very dystopian and menacing. Would work well in a cyberpunk movie. Reminds me of Martin Rev’s programming on Suicide’s American Supreme album (excellent record BTW). You use space and rests really well—in a very effective way. I’ve never heard music that does that quite like this. The breaks in the action are “world-class”. Very artful! Track four continues with the wonderful cinematic stereo movement of sounds. Definitely an industrial vibe, but very poetic. More bleak than angsty. This some cool shit! Reminds me a bit of Vangelis music for Blade Runner. I’d buy this 💯 “Mausoleum…” uses acoustic drums effectively. Nice change of pace. I’m loving the bass harmonics on this one. And the sections of very-high crystal bell sounds. Another artful track that wouldn’t be out of place on Kid A or something like that (I love that record). Very modern sounds. And you have your own voice. Great grasp of rhythm with the drum programming. Mellow, but engaging. Could easily be on a Björk record like Vespertine (my favorite). Very crisp, clear production. “From the First Day…” has a sprinkling of Ministry or Butthole Surfers. I dig it! But still very earnest. Even reminds me of Rollerskate Skinny. Good shit! Also cool that the voice really debuts on this track. Effective move by keeping it mostly instrumental till that point. Can also hear a bit of Flaming Lips in this. Cool sampling! Mom’s calling me for supper. Keep up the great work, mate!!!
