So, from a band that I had mad love for back in the fuckin' 90's and a little beyond this is a quintessential track off their first album Wisconsin Death Trip. I say I HAD love because after there were "issues" in the band member ranks, things began to fall apart. Wayne Static (RIP man, I loved ya) did have a drug problem as did his wife whom sadly, died. Wayne wanted to start using his Static X music and Tony fucking Campos denied Wayne the right to his own music because (to be fair) Tony owned "half" the IP that was Static X. It was a shitty move by Tony and led to Wayne further abusing substances until he followed his wife into the void shortly thereafter.
Having said all that, Tony has fucking monetized the hell out of Static X after Wayne's death and they've been touring for two years now on the corpse of Wayne. I'm not a fan of it and I hate Tony for what he did to contribute to Wayne's downfall. Having said all of this, I LOVED Static X and Wayne, he was a very cool guy and when I met him, he was humble and very fucking cool, down to earth and nice to me. I'll remember that conversation at the Cabaret Metro in Chicago for as long as I live. Having regaled you with all of this knowledge and the instance of me meeting Wayne, I give you said quintessential track "Bled For Days" off of Wisconsin Death Trip, Static X's debut album in the late 90's. RIP Wayne you bad ass. Enjoy. It's a personal fave of mine because I've lived my life in the way the lyrics entail (not quite to that level but I should by all accounts by not of this realm any longer due to my "recklessness" in the past) and I identify with the sentiments in the song emphatically. Without further ado, here you go!
