I am so sorry to all of my friends in the Russia/Ukraine/Belarus and other Eastern European countries along Russia's border and my heart and thoughts are with you all. I KNOW that none of you wanted this to happen and I am right there with you on this sentiment for sure. I'm also very aware that my country and my fellow NATO countries did make this a problem in many ways. NATO is a "mixed bag" if you will. Some of the things they've done, not bad, other things, atrocious. So in summation on that point, I'm wholly sorry to the people of Ukraine that have been jerked around by my country and NATO countries for decades now as far as having Ukraine become a NATO nation. It's not right and the only reason NATO as a whole has kept your country in particular from being accepted but never told explicitly "no" is because of Vladimir Putin and the threats he levied if we put Ukraine into the NATO rosters. We've had to watch our leadership here and abroad continually pull the proverbial rug out from under your country and for that, I am sincerely sorry.
I've been watching since last night all of the horrible things happening in real time and I've been unable to sleep, eat or think of anything else. I took the day off of work as I don't feel like making music in times like this. It's atrocious and I have loved ones in Ukraine, Russia, Belarus and other Eastern European countries. So I'm especially on edge right now. I don't want this to continue any more than all of you do in that region. I am with you in mind, body and soul and am hoping for the best possible outcome for all parties involved as this is clearly only the wish of one insane individual (Putin) and it's just monstrous. As for everything else, it's on hold. Until I hear from my loved ones and loved friends, I will continue to watch in horror and despair. I love you all and I am so very sorry this happened. May we all be reunited in spirit soon. Much love to everyone.
