It's been, a very long week. I just want to sleep like, for ages it seems. But in lieu of that, I'll take this consolation prize. I've been on a "softer" side of music kick lately and that's going to continue tonight as well. Not necessarily "softer" in the sense of theory in the lyrical content. Definitely not the usual Industrial, Glitch, Darkwave, Witch House, Synthwave, Vaporwave and other "darker" things I listen to habitually and also like composing on the side (Yes, I realize I need to get my ass in gear and make more new music soon before my creativity dries up like a river in a drought.) when I am inspired to do so. But as previously stated, that hasn't been the type of music I've been posting lately. But that'll change for tomorrow all through the month of October since it's the month that leads to the ever important last day of October, the 31st and the Samhain festivities until it turns to November 1st. So, stay tuned for harder, more aggressive music all month long leading up to the day when the two supposed worlds of living and dead converge in one glorious night where anything and everything seems and usually is possible.
Anyway, now that my rambling is out of the way, I'll get on with tonight's track. From the ever amazing band Modest Mouse and my favorite album from that band, 2004's seminal classic, Good News For People Who Love Bad News. The track, "Ocean Breathes Salty." I hope you all enjoy it and reflect a little on this one. I know it's not an obscure band, album or track for that matter but, it is MOST important for all of us. Hence, "Theoretical Thursdays" and the reason for that header on this post. I don't believe in any of that honestly, being somewhere after this plane of existence has never seemed real to me and I don't intend on ever changing my mind about that. However, this song does raise some valid questions and thoughts pertaining to the wasting of one's life and death. Maybe that is true. Probably not. Like Issac Brock says in the song: "For your sake I hope heaven and hell, are really there but I wouldn't hold my breath. You wasted life. Why wouldn't you waste death?" So enjoy or be a bit sad, either way, that means it worked :) Try to have a great weekend everyone. This song goes out to all those that have stood by me over time here.
A brief list would be the following people: @olgakulaga, @felicity, @narublu, @bluenicorn, @rare, @therustycheez, @akiramai, @haub, @thaecos, @lorry, @jecht, @zweitesich, @gadget, @neyona, @gladyce, @brisen, @chroi, @weedfarmer, @romany, @unita, @luie, @kungfury, @psyria_delight, @doncella, @avecalluna, @heiwa, @yessybear and countless others to be quite honest. I'd be here all night listing names if I truly went into it all. Some of these people listed have had many conversations with me and others have just been supportive of the things I post and we've never really talked lol. But, nonetheless they are all very special to me and it doesn't matter the kinds of interactions but rather, the sincerity behind them. So thank you to all of you old friends and new ones I've made alike! You've been nothing but amazing to me since my return a few years back to my second account. I couldn't ask for better people to share my online life, feelings and insight with. Thank all of you very much. Well that's enough of that for now :) I look forward to the next however many years I can be with everyone here and enjoy this site as I always have. My home away from my IRL home :) The greatest website with the most fantastic community and really, family in the online world. You all mean so much to me in so many different ways but all of you, and I do mean ALL of you, have been there for me time and time again in some fashion. From full on friendships to just supportive and wonderful people who leave their likes and comments on my posts. I'll probably be gone after tomorrow for a few days. The weekends are killers currently for me. But I'll see you all on the other side of the weekend and I hope you all have a fantastic weekend yourselves too! Anyway, on with the track!
