January 3rd. The year is now 2014.
2013 was quite possibly the best year of my life. I managed to accomplish so much in such a short amount of time, and for the first time ever, I felt confident about the direction I was taking my life in.
The year started with an email from an editor notifying me of the manuscripts Eraserhead Press was interested in seeing from me, being on the cover of RISE Tattoo Magazine, and being featured in the Suicide Girls book Hard Girls, Soft Light. I don't know about you guys, but that's a damn fine start to a year if you ask me.
The year progressed. I met so many amazing people. I finished writing a book I was incredibly happy with. Had a short story published. Shot an amazing set with @darryldarko. Did a book signing with Suicide Girls. My book was released. Starting shooting photos again to promote books that I love, and had that received with roars and cheers. Met a dude who makes my heart beat funny. Did my first ever public reading. Had my book make Brian Keene's Top Ten List of 2013. These were just a few of the amazing highlights of my year.
The year wasn't always easy, of course. But I kept a smile plastered onto my face as best I could and trudged forward.
Here are photos of my year:
I'm sure I have a million more photos to share with you all, but at this point, I'm sure they're all repeats from instagram and facebook. :P
Now, 2014 is off to a swell start. One of my favorite authors reviewed my book on Amazon. I received my first fan Scandalous Sunday submission. I compiled my list of goals I would like to accomplish by 2015 and everything is completely doable. 2014, let's do this!
Stay scandalous!
