Here is a long overdue installment of the life and times of, uh, me. Pour yourself a beverage. Undo the top button of your pants (or better yet, put on those sweat pants that are a little too thin in all of the wrong areas... shhh, we all have them). And, uh, enjoy!
First, your face; I like that shit.
Photos.
Thigh tattoo by Ryan Mason. The scabbing and peeled skin phases are all out of the way. All that remains is the horrendous itch. Fuck that itch. Sadly, I haven't gotten around to photographing the final product. But, trust me, it looks pretty awesome.
Hand tattoo by Silje Hagland.
Brunch will always be my favorite social meal. Voodou came to town and documented the fact that I do sometimes leave my house. I heart that woman (and the other people in this photo) pretty damn hard.
What my writer's association meetings usually consist of.
I turned 30 earlier this month. It was, quite possibly, the best birthday I've ever had. It consisted of black coffee, poetry read aloud, breakfast cooked for me, getting my nails done, tons of fabulous people, amazing presents, lots of whiskey, seeing a Texan get his ass set on fire, and singing and dancing to David Bowie in a taxi with the driver. It was pretty damn good.
Okay, I guess I do get out of the house often. This dude...
Is it horrible that this (^) was my first thought?
"I watched the sky explode over Cannon Beach. I thought to myself that this is life or at least the part of it worth living. We stood at the edge of the sand and the ocean came close but didnt touch us." -KZP
I always thought that one of the cool things about dating ladies was that your wardrobe instantly doubled. Now, I guess the same shit can happen with dudes. I won't complain.
I work a lot. I got promoted a while back. I still feel as though I have so much to learn, but I guess people think it's a good fit. I work with strong, gorgeous women, and it feels weird to see that I can evoke the same nervous reactions they do when I introduce myself to prospective employees. Meh.

We're hoping to have this make its debut around the same time my book gets released.
On the topic of my book, my final draft is due to my editor at the end of this month. I've already been given the green light to procure my cover art, and am pretty much counting down the days until its release and my having to do a goddamned reading. Actually, the reading might be fun.
You folks are rad. Keep it real and stuff.
Love and shit.

Happy belated birthday love. Miss you.

@majorboredom cold brew is just super strong. If done properly, black coffee tastes as though it has cream and sugar in it. Super smooth.
