Hello!
Guess what?
BOOM!
The Magazine of Bizarro Fiction (Issue #8) is out! If you look closely at the names on the cover of the magazine, you might come across a somewhat familiar name. Did you find it? Yes? No? Maybe?
I have a very short story, titled "Barbie's Nipple," published in this magazine. The story is about a dismal love affair between a girl without a face and a giant black widow. This was the story that I read to my family during my last visit. It was somewhat validating to see my family members cringe during my reading, and then later carry on deep, philosophical conversations about the meanings and representations of/in my story. The reading only took about 10-15 minutes, but the discussions that followed carried on for days. If you would like your very own copy of this awesome quarterly magazine, you can obtain an issue HERE.
In other news, I'm about two paragraphs away from finishing a manuscript for my book. While it is primarily a love story, it does contain some intense, gruesome scenes that would make any horror fanatic cringe and smile, all at the same time. There is already a significant amount of hype around this story, so I'm excited to see what comes of this manuscript. I'll be sure to keep you all posted.

I'm going to let you in on a little secret: every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it; don't wait for it; just let it happen. It could be a new shirt in a men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black, coffee. -- Agent Dale Cooper, Twin Peaks

I know! I loved meeting you! and congrats on the story! I'm sure I would cringe as I hate spiders, but those make for the best horror stories
