I'm developing a liking for Harry Potter.
I know, I know. When the movies were still in the theaters, I knew people that were so obsessed, they would dress up as characters and go to the very first showing. I thought they were crazy. This past halloween, my supervisor had the idea that we all dress like characters from Harry Potter. My supervisors and coworkers agreed that I would make a perfect Bellatrix - I had no idea who she was. With time quickly passing, I figured watching the movies would be the quicker route to figuring out a costume. So I watched them, and kind of loved them. I pulled off an awesome costume, ended up obtaining my own copies of the movies, and now I'm looking to start reading the series (books are usually better than the movies, and I hear these are no exception). Another confession: I kind of want to be the "meat" between a Severus Snape and Sirius Black (once he's cleaned up... like in The Order of the Phoenix) sandwich. Meow.
Onward...
Life continues to have its ups and downs, yet I try my darndest to stay positive and find the beauty around me. A few of my favorite things:
-The way Portland looks when it rains.
-When it starts to rain real hard, retreating into a coffee shop for fancy coffee and sassy journalism (note: normally, I drink my coffee black. On the rare occasion though, something fancy, like a mexican mocha with rice milk really brings a smile to my face)
-debates through bathroom graffiti.
-continuing my process of becoming a painted woman.
Throw in babes, hardcover books, cat cuddles, and ghost pepper sauce on savory foods, I'd say you got yourself one happy Silencia!
Other stuff I should mention:
Thank you for the continued love on Doll Harem. Still keeping my fingers crossed that it'll hit front page again. As I was looking through to see which pictures I'd use to sample for the set, I couldn't help but smile at the photos where character was broken and someone is either laughing or grinning in the set. For example:
(bottom half of the photo: see Doxie grin? She nailed that boob-grab while blindfolded! Hahaha)
(Doxie and I cracking up)
We still managed to pull off sexy though!
Now that I've brought this to your attention, feel free to look through the set and see what little things you notice
Something to look forward to?
Emerald City Comic Con is coming up. SG doesn't have a confirmed booth yet, but how awesome would it be if we were there?! I really like this convention. It has more to offer than Wizard World, is easier to get around in than DragonCon, and isn't as conservative as SDCC (where I was given shit for having a girlfriend). Plus, George Takei will be there. Oh myyyyy.
I think that's it. Tomorrow, I have plans to hang out with my favorite Jersey girl and give belated birthday hugs to Lyxzen.
I love you.
Silencia
P.S.
For you Facebook people. I have over 1300 friend requests here. It seems kind of daunting to start sorting through all those. Facebook will be the clean slate!
