As promised
I'm providing this update from the airport. Yay for airport wi-fi!
Anyway...
Being a homeowner hasnt fully sunk in yet. As I sit and type this, theres still an un-assembled IKEA dresser at the foot of my bed, and boxes I still have to unpack in the next room. Im getting there though, but last month was a fucking nightmare.
I was scheduled to close towards the beginning of November. As time progressed, little things kept coming up that delayed our closing date. I finally closed, but with two weeks left before I was scheduled to vacate my apartment. Those two weeks I had left, I pushed myself harder than I ever pushed myself before. With the help of a very special few people (one lady in particular was around for EVERYTHING, and a second lady was around for two incredibly stressful crunch times), I managed to have carpet (and tack strips) ripped out in the new place; painted the new place fun colors; painted the apartment back to boring eggshell colors; packed and moved all of my belongings; had a new floor installed; discovered a bowl full of stagnant water in a light fixture and ended up having almost my entire kitchen ceiling replaced (something the inspector missedoops); deep cleaned both places all while still working a standard 45 hour work week. Throw in one of my cats experiencing some freakish symptoms that resulted in two trips to the vet clinic (hes fine), breaking my headphone jack IN my ipod, and my phone having all of its memory wiped, youll have painted yourself an accurate picture of this whole fiasco.
(PS: I had way more photos, but most of the photos were lost due to the memory wipe. Poop)
My whole body hurts, and my hands look and feel rough. Now that Im starting to settle in, Im trying to focus on proper self-care, Im trying to be good (Im not) about stretching, and lotion is currently having a consistent, intimate relationship with me. Lyxzen gave me a ton of awesome LUSH products as a housewarming gift, so those will be coming in handy for helping rid the feelings of haggardness. Someday Ill be caught up on sleep, but Im not too worried about it now
Things to look forward to:
Something new from Blyde. I wanted to put in a hot preview, but in looking through my bag, I've realized I forgot my thumb drive at home. Oops.
I also wanted to give a huge thank you to those who have not forgotten about Doll Harem. I love this set dearly, and Im crossing all my fingers and toes that itll hit front page again. Wanna check out another set Im in? Follow me!
When did it get to be the middle of December? Sweet jesus. What are you guys doing for the holidays? Im going to LA for a week, and then coming back to the fabulous DarrylDarko being in town. Im stoked.
Well, off to fight off feeling like a full-fledged adult. I think I need to build a pillow fort I. Will. Never. Grow. Up.
Silencia

i found a water bottle under my bed that has at least 2-year old vintage liquid in it. not quite as elegant as your light fixture find but it's the best i could come up with.
