Thank you, words with friends, for teaching me how to be a proper lady.
I've been up to a lot these days. Life has had its ups and downs, but I'm maintaining an eerie level of optimism here. Between a death, the hospitalization of a very close family member, and struggles with my day job, I continue to keep on trucking, and find the joys wherever I can find them. Here's a glimpse of the brighter side of things:
Trek in the Park.
movie marathons and beer floats through penis straws.
I saw Rasputina when they came through my 'hood.
After the show, Doxie climbed on the stage and stole the only set list. Some guys tried to yell at her for climbing the stage, but she was mighty quick and ran back, set list in an outstretched hand, and with her trademark grin yells, "here!" What a fucking sweetheart. I love that crazy broad!
Getting tattooed by some guy. During this last appointment, he blamed me for his popularity. I remember when I started to get tattooed by him, the average wait for an appointment was two weeks. We both laughed at that memory. <3
As per Lyxzen's request, I will now blog about the awesome care packages my grandmother sends me. My grandmother is cutest (and toughest!) woman I know. For my birthday, she sent me the following items:
- 12 handkerchiefs
- a neon green backpack (funny if you know how unlikely I am to wear this color)
-almond roca
-garlic salt
-a white tie ("for your future spouse... one less item to worry about" - ? That poor woman is really banking on me getting married someday. oof.)
- headbands
- two pens
- facial moisturizer
- newspaper clippings with the following notes attached to them
"papers for cat poo"
the list of articles she sent.
Oh, and she also sent me a photo of me being ultra fucking smooth as a kid. Check this shit out:
What a hard fucking life. Haha.
I love my grandmother dearly. I sincerely hope that I turn out every bit as cute as she is when I get to her age. <3
I think this shall end my update on life. Thank you all for the lovely birthday wishes (and gifts, holy shit!). You are all so amazing.
I love you.
Silencia
