I __________ed William Shatner.
No, really. I cant quite describe what happened, except that we had the oddest moment in passing. I stepped out of my room to go grab, yet another, cup of coffee. In doing so, I turned a corner and saw a group of about 4 to 6 hotel staff around an older man in a fishing hat. As I continued on my mission, I felt eyes burn on me, and I looked up. The older man was William Shatner, and he stopped in his steps and stared at me with wide eyes. Because I didnt know what else to do, I simply smiled at him, and kept walking towards coffee.
Moving on, I guess I should say, Ive just returned from spending the weekend in Atlanta for Dragon Con. I really dont like walking through these conventions because, well, I usually get exposed to much undesirable cleavage and the smell of cheep booze. But drunk nerds can be fun... and its almost endearing to hear them strain conversation about cool things, all while glancing at you to see if youre impressed
So here is my photo portion of this blog:
I tried to capture a more honest side to the convention. With so many persons trying to act like the characters they were dressed as, it was nice to try to catch them do real things.
Like waiting to cross the street
Getting excited over someones costume and trying to take a picture of it
Getting bored and playing with whatever toys are handy
And scaring children
And they rock out! Okay, this is a photo of a band that I saw play, but the costumed people in attendance nodded their heads to the music and cheered as they professed their love after each song. It was kind of cute.
Because super large crowds often make me feel uncomfortable, I did spend a lot of time in my hotel room.
I started a blanket, and ran out of yarn
I drank copious amounts of coffee
And I attempted to find ways to entertain myself, while he kept being pulled away for work related stuffs.
(note: I do not have pretty feet, but I thought Id photo them anyway)
