In three days, I leave for a big gaming convention. In that time I have to find the money to afford it, write seven stories of 1000-3000 words, mail some stuff, build decks, sort cards for wants lists, pack, and plan for another such convention just over a month further down the road.
This, ladies and gents, is why you shouldn't procrastinate.
More importantly, though, this is the first time I've been to one of these conventions without intending to be an adjunct (paid or otherwise) to a gaming company. It'll really be a vacation, for once, though I do intend to do a small amount of work there. We'll see.
In other news, no, I still haven't heard back from the place I applied to - but they'll be there, too, and I'm crossing my fingers that my idea pitch'll work in person, so I'd have double the chances.
I'm also going to try to get an actual, honest to God photo of myself there, hopefully one that I'll be happy with.
Anyway, I might update this week, I might not. Won't be back until next Monday, regardless.
See you all then.
