Lost makes me crazy. Two weeks ago, I felt pretty over the whole show. The whole thing just felt too baroque. I wasn't really sure what was happening anymore, keeping track of the characters and timeline felt like work instead of fun, and I wasn't even sure what the motivating conflict or plot were anymore. When the show started, it was this great big about the survivors getting off the island (and then having to solve the island's mysteries and survive its dangers in order to do so). But since they (sort of) escaped and came back and traveled through time and we've now met about four iterations of every character and haven't really learned much it seems .... it all just felt *broke* to me.
And it still MIGHT be broke. BUT. I still loved the hell out of last night's episode about Miles. Interestingly, I don't think it's insignificant that I loved this episode and that it also utilized the show's classic structure of main plot/flashback. But whatever - they got me excited and willing to come back again. Bastards.

I've always liked the Miles character, so I was happy to see him featured last night.
