So you know, I'm just hanging out. What are you up to?
As an addition: Bob Dylan rules. And, I mean that in the most amazing sense of the phrase.
But, I mean, duh right? But when you think about what Dylan has accomplished - it's mind boggling. First, he's an icon and probably the most important "pop" or "rock" musician ever. But, on top of that, the motherfucker is *still* making important, relevant music and taking artistic chances. I'm not sure there are other "rock" artists even remotely in the same category...... Johnny Cash maybe came close, as does David Bowie. Maybe David Byrne or Ray Charles. But he still leaves them in the dust.
Even the people who might have been his rivals ... the surviving Beatles, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Prince .... clearly, have petered out later in their careers. I mean, they're still brilliant performers and so on. So I take nothing from them. But goddamn: Bob Dylan...
