I think that, at best, in life we only possess what we desire for maybe about 12 hours at a time...and if we do for any longer that possession drives us mad.
I'm come back to Israel to serve in the army and everyone thinks that I'm completely mad for having made that decision.
Because of this I'm starting to distinguish my karmic cycle.
What seems to always happen is that I will forgo an oppurtunity at some point because I'm trying to make up for another one that I missed and in so doing I miss one and have another oppurtunity that I attempt to regain and in the mean time I miss a new oppurtunity and the cycle continues enlessly. I always manage to regain the oppurtunity and take it the second time but the second time the effort involved in gaining the oppurtunity makes realizing it's potential not worth it in the end.

I don't care what they say about you, I still think you're cool.
I also respect your decision to join the Israeli army. That takes some balls, man. I hope your time in the service is uneventful. How long to your serve, 4 years?
Is it true that there is a mandatory period of service for all Israeli males?
