i met rose today and felt like an idiot. according to endquote, it went something like this:

s: "you look really familiar - where do I know you from?"
r: "yeah, you look familiar too, i'm trying to place you..."
s: "uh, hm... do you know a guy named spooky in portland?"
r: "yeah, actually, I do! where do you know him from? or do you just know of him?"
s: "i, um, well..."
r: "so if I mentioned you to him would he know you?"
s: "i don't know him at all actually! ...but I'm a total mac addict."
r: "oh yeah, I was thinking of getting one of those..."

(at which point i started babbling about powerbooks and imacs)
