My personal hero! Witty, funny, verbose, and fucking brutal to religion! Back in 2009 through 2012 I struggled with doubting my faith. I first found him on youtube doing a debate and he destroyed my reasons for believing in a god. It took until 2012 to finally admit to myself i am an atheist and until this year to "come out" to my dad this year. It was uncomfortable because he is a diehard southern baptist. Anyway Hitchens got esophageal cancer and died back in december 15, 2011 i wish i could have met him and let him know what a profound impact he had on my life. So ill say it here on the eve of the anniversary of his death. THANK YOU for standing up to religion, extremists, and tyranny! You are my hero!
