I’m all moved in (now begins the loathed unpacking) to my little baby house. The nights have been full of cat vs kitten zoomie battles that occasionally involve jumping on and off my stomach.
Moving alone has doubled my wardrobe due to the amount of lifting and unintentional working out it forced me to do. I am absolutely exhausted but still have so much to do. I need to go hunting for a new mattress because mine was so old the movers told me just to get a new one. Happy to. Less memories of a bad time in my life, the better, and the better things to build new foundations upon.
I have very few goals to make this house a happier home than my last apartment:
•I’d like to surround myself in more plants and flowers and build a garden in my yard when the weather is right.
•I want a random mix of cute mugs to drink my morning coffee or tea in, rather than going to a Starbucks (not that there are any by me).
•I would love to entertain more guests and people with random pieces of lovely things wonderful people from all over kindly gift me. Maybe a dish they don’t need anymore or a tea cup and saucer they found at a thrift store for a dollar.
I just want my home to ooze kitschy happy love from every corner. After all, this is *MY* house and will be *MY* happy space. Not my misery space like the apartment.
If you’d like to contribute to the love, and by all means, do not feel obligated. Please let me know. Things are a bit disjointed as I unpack, but I do have items I will send to thank you all. I will be getting a PO Box squared away soon too, so even just little postcards from your town can make my space brighter!
Thanks for being here for me, SG!
