I was nominated to post this by @fancy
1. Height? 5’2” on a good day. I hate being short, and the fact that I’m still teased for it as an adult, it pisses me off.
2. Virgin? Well, considering that I was married for a bit more than 12 years to a guy who became an abusive jackass, and have been divorced since March, I’d say chances are I am not one. Although I have been celibate since the divorce started.
3. Do you smoke? Nope. THC messes with my meds and head, I’m allergic to cigarette smoke from certain brands, but I have smoked cloves/cigars socially. Never craved them though. Plus I have asthma.
4. Do you drink? A good stout beer, pineapple cider, a good wine, champagne, maybe a good martini
5. Age mistaken for? Sometimes, especially with my tattoos covered, people think I’m a teenager. I still get asked if I’m old enough to drink and am always having my ID checked more than once at bars. So I get 21/22 a lot. I’m 36!
6. Any tattoos? Quite a few. I like to carry art on me at all times, is kind of what I feel like tattoos represent. I hope I can afford to get my octopus tattoo finished before I move out of state, and maybe someday I can shoot a cosplay set with my chest piece tattoo as a primary focal point.
7. Any piercings? Lots. I used to have a lot more. I miss my corset piercings I had for 3 years and my vertical labret, which came out because I bit my lip in half during a real bad seizure I had.
8. Best friends? I don’t have too many friends because I got isolated during my marriage and really lost touch with a lot of people, especially after my ex started getting kind of crazy. I’m lucky to have my friend Tia from LA back in my life because she saw something in my ex and cut ties with us because of him, but she is a rock for me right now. I also have a friend, Juni, who has been my pen pal since middle school and has helped me so much to escape my abuser and move away from that life. Then, there’s Fancy, one of the very few people who comes to visit me and takes me out. She helps me calm down when I have my PTSD breakdowns.
9. A fact about my personality? I’m an extremely honest person. Like so bad, it sometimes gets me into trouble. I take pride in being a person who won’t lie, and I’m one of those people who is nice even to people I don’t like or people who don’t deserve it. Life is too short to lie, be a bitch, and have no empathy.
10. What career did you choose when you were a child? I wanted to be a singer in a band like my dad was. I did go to Berklee College of Music, but majored in the business side of the entertainment industry and marketing. When I was really young I wanted to be a paleontologist because I loved dinosaurs. I also entertained the idea of being an archaeologist/anthropologist while in high school.
11. Where would I like to be now? California. Los Angeles specifically, working my dream job at a company I already have some ties with (and they are why I am a cosplayer).
I don’t know who to nominate here, so if you want to take on this challenge, please let me know you did so in my comments. I love getting to know other people!
^This is Tia and I in LA at a comic con after party.
^This is fellow SG, @fancy on what I now consider my doomed wedding day almost 13 years ago!
And I know it’s very rare that SG buys a set that’s been rotting in member review for years, but it might be nice to comment on my “Pastel Stars” set that it should be purchased. There is also a thread in the groups to suggest sets that may have been overlooked and people believe should be purchased. I’d appreciate a little lift and some hope to not give up on this set. I’d love to shoot a new one, but I have been very discouraged about my chances and doubting myself a lot.
Since this blog is rather on a not so super negative note, I promise that I will inform you all of my saga in my apartment that caused an emotional breakdown.
But let’s try to be happy for a blog!
Don’t forget to answer the 11 questions above and let me know you did so in the comments!
