Gah....
I'm day 2 into quitting smoking, and frankly it's a motherfucker. I wasn't a super-heavy smoker but recently I went up to about 8 roll-ups a day, which was beginning to take its toll. I quite like occaisionally smoking, but when it became a habit it lost some of the fun. So I decided to try quitting.
I've not got any patches or chewing gum, my thinking is that taking nicotene to soothe nicotene withdrawal is shooting myself in the foot. Willpower is the key, but it's reeeeally tempting just to have one more for old times sake....mmm my black lunged goddess....
Round where I live seems to be the capital of smoking. In *every* shop they sell malboro lights from russia/estonia/greece and other countries for 3 a pack. Outside evey shop there's someone smoking. All the cafes have tables outside with people sucking on a delicious tab. I think I'll have to fashion a pair of blinkers so I can ignore them all and resist the evil urge....
