These arms of mine,
They are lonely,
Lonely, and feeling blue.
These arms of mine,
They are yearning,
Yearning from wanting you.
And if you would let them hold you
Oh how grateful I will be.*
These arms of mine,
They are burning
Burning from wanting you.
These arms of mine
They are wanting
Wanting to hold you.
And if you would let them hold you
Oh how grateful I will be.
Come on, come on baby
Just be my little woman [yeah]
Just be my lover.
[Ooh,] I need me sombody,
[Somebody] To treat me right
[Ohh] I need your arms [loving arms] to hold me tight,
And I [I, I] need [I need your] I need your tender lips, too.
Hold me, hold me
I may have said it before, but I'll say it again now. Otis was the man.
Wow, today was the most boring day ever at work. I've pretty much finished what they hired me to do. In a week. I just have to wait for some other people to finish what they're supposed to be doing so that I can finish what I'm supposed to be doing.
As a result I had very little to do today. I spent most of my time making it look like I was working, but really grooving out with my headphones and trying to get some poetry written.
The poetry didn't get very far, as pretending to work is just distracting enough that I couldn't concentrate on counting stressed and unstressed syllables, or come up with any unexpected rhymes. Now that I'm home I should be able to come up with something.
I don't know what I'll do tomorrow. Some of us are going out to lunch, so that should eat up a bit of time.
And my back is killing me from sitting all day.
But it's good. Money and all.
Have a great evening everyone!
*I know I've ranted before on the ridiculous inaccuracies in song lyrics found online. I found this horrible mistake on quite a few sites:
And if you would let them hold you
Oh, I'll breathe, oh I will be.
That doesn't even make sense!
I search for lyrics online because then I can cut and paste, and don't have to type them out myself. But I have to go back and correct everything I copy anyway, so I should just stop being so damed lazy and type them myself in the first place.
