Second day of work. I actually had something to do today, and got into it. I worked all morning, went out to lunch with some of the people I work with, worked after lunch, and before I knew it it was time to go home!
I'm sure not all days will be like this.
We found out last week that my cat has feline hyperthyroidism. Our choices are to give her pricey medications every day for the rest of her life, radio-iodine treatment, or do nothing. There isn't really much of a choice to make. Giving a cat medicine isn't easy, particularly every day for a long time. Doing nothing isn't an option; it's fascinating how attached a person can get to an animal after 12 years.
So radio-iodine treatment it is. She has to stay at the vet for two weeks. However, she'll be staying at the vet's house rather than in some cage at the office.
It'll still be tough. I've only been away from the cat for two weeks on a few occassions. People will think I'm crazy, but she's one of the main reasons I still live at home. That and the money thing.
But hopefully she'll be ok, and put on some weight. She eats and eats, but keeps losing weight - that's the hyperthyroidism. And her hyperactivity.
I'll still worry though, of course.
_______
So I'm watching Clueless again; it's on television. I do like the movie, and not just because of of Alicia Silverstone. But I've decided I'm offended by Christian. Not because he's gay, but because he's the only well-dressed teenaged guy in the movie, and is automatically gay. All the straight guys dress like crap. It's this stereotype that makes people always think I'm gay just because I like to dress nicely.
But the movie is a parody of stereotypes, so I guess I'll have to deal with it.

I've always enjoyed my birthday being right at the beginning of Spring Break. Nothing like a week off from school for your birthday. Too bad I'm a grown up now and won't get anymore Spring Breaks
