Well, it was my first day at the new job. I got there at 8:30 this morning like they asked, and I wasn't on the security list! So I had to wait around for my supervisor to come and get me anyway!
I was shown my desk. There wasn't anything on it. No computer, no telephone. It was an exciting morning. I eventually got my security badge, a computer, and a telephone. I also discovered that there were actually some pens and stuff in the drawer. Woo!
About an hour before quitting time we finally got all the software and such that I need, and I was able to do something productive. Then I came home.
The job doesn't actually seem that bad; tomorrow I should actually be able to get some things done. Though I don't think the work they want me to get done will take the entire month I'm contracted for. Oh well, I'll get it done when I get it done, and maybe they'll find something else for me to do.
Yesterday I took my sister to get her ears pierced, like I promised I would. All right, so I also had my tragus pierced. I'll tell you: it hurt like Hell. But only for a second, while he pushed the needle through. Then it didn't hurt at all.
Also at work, near my desk, is a demonic machine of some sort that makes an infernal noise. I thought tomorrow I'd bring my iPod and drown it out. There's a problem with this, however. I don't have any headphones that I can wear! Mine all go inside the ear, which is no good with the new modification. So I'll have to get some new ones that go completely over my ear.
But that's about it for now. I hope everyone is having a great evening, or morning, or whenever it is!

I forgot to mention that I work in a cubicle. It's a fucking cubicle farm! The type of place I swore I'd never work. What has become of me?

Haha, if I ever publish a book, I'm going to put your profile pic somewhere on the bottom of the cover just to prove you wrong.
