So I start my job as a junior technical writer on Monday. The title "technical writer" is a bit misleading, as I won't actually be writing anything. Instead I will be taking screen captures that were used in the English language manual for some of the company's software, and adapting them for use in foreign language versions of the manual. Doesn't that sound like a lot of fun?
Well, I have to start somewhere. And money is money.
Sometime I have to go shopping for some new clothes. Yes, I already have tons of clothes, but I need business casual stuff. Most of my clothes are dressy (though not super dressy), yet would fail to fit into a business atmosphere. I feel I should at least try to fit in the first week. Get myself some spiffy Polos and whatnot.
I wonder if I can find some charcoal, pinstripe slacks? That would be pretty keen.
I'll be sure to take some photos, so you all may laugh at me.
I also have to find time to take my sister to St. Sabrina's Parlor in Purgatory to get her ears done. I still haven't gotten around to it. Grrr!
So much to do, so little time. I'd have lots of it, but tomorrow I need to help the grandfather with stuff again. The fairly moderate project I began has turned into an elaborate job requiring much more time than I was originally planning on putting into the whole thing. But, as I'm a dutiful grandson, I don't complain. Tomorrow will be the last day, though.
Have a great weekend darlings!
