I just found out Neal Stephenson has a new book, Anathem, coming out in a couple of weeks. I'm excited. Finally, something to read that will probably be excellent!

Yes, I'm a big fan of Stephenson. Snow Crash, Cryptonomicon, The Diamond Age, the three books of the Baroque Cycle. The endings are notoriously unsatisfying, but the stories are otherwise fantastic.

Also in September: The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman.

I think I'll pre-order both.

Now I must go look at what else is coming out soon.

Update: I've read the first chapter of Anathem, and I'm fascinated. There's something of a futuristic, Pythagorean cult, I think. Mathematics and such. I definitely think it's going to be a good read.
