MathGirl called me today! This is a reversal of the usual order, in which I call her. This turn of events makes me feel good. I was at work, of course, and my phone was off, so she left a message...but the fact remains.
The drive to work this morning was dreadful. I live 15 miles away. It took me an hour and a half to get there. We had our first big snowstorm of the year, and it always takes people some time to get used to it. Until then, they all drive like idiots in the snow, as if they haven't been doing it every winter of their lives.
My users' manual is almost finished at work. My contract is scheduled to end on Friday, at which point I wouldn't have a job. Except that they're supposedly renewing my contract through February. The paperwork just needs to go through. So yay! It's not a job I want to do for the rest of my life, but it will do until until I can fulfill my goals. That's the plan, anyway. I'll probably still be here 10 years from now, wondering where all the time went.
