I found the most beautiful apartment and today I get to go and get the keys. I feel like everything in my life has led up to this, and that all of the 'mistakes' I've made no longer matter because they all led me here and I am so happy and content.

When I was still living with my parents, I went over to a friend of mine's friend's apartment with him. That day, while we were visiting his friend, I had to use their bathroom. While I was in the bathroom I suddenly realized I wanted to move out of my parents house & be on my own. I thought to myself, in that bathroom "I want to have an apartment just like this one!"
A month or so later I moved into the same apartment building as his friend & afew years later, while they were remodeling the building, they moved me into the very apartment where I had made that decision. That is where I still live right now.
Sometimes, when I am in now MY bathroom, I think of that moment & smile.
