Finally- a new blog.
Wizarld World-Chicago was a blast! I had a great time meeting so many cool people, taking pictures, and signing merch. I felt like a part-time celebrity. Haha. All the other girls were so much fun and made the weekend so awesome. On Friday Jenna_Fierce came and hung out at the booth with us. Her and Coralee spent most of the day stalking down the Johnny Depp, Captain Sparrow look-a-like and we were finally able to get a quick picture of them together.
Saturday night Writeboy hosted a little party which some of the girls from the convention showed up. Daven, JustLostOne, the_ruiner, and I ended up leaving the party a bit early in search of some tacos. Daven is excited about the tacos....
On Monday morning JustLostOne and I got a cab at 4am to the airport to make a 6am flight to Denver. The airline overbooked the flight and gave our seats away 10 minutes before take off. That was the first time in over a year that security took longer than 20 minutes to get through. Grr! So they put us on Standby for the next flight out to Denver at 8:15am, we were put on the standby list as numbers 15 and 16 out of 85 people on standby for the same flight. They put 5 people on that flight from the standby list which moved us to the next standby list for the next flight to Denver at 9:10am. We were the last two names called for that flight. Yay!
We got into Denver around noon and my pops picked us up from DIA. From there we went back to my Pops place and hung out with my little sisters who are some of my favorite people in the whole world. I'm pretty convinced that my youngest sister and Justlostone are best friends. They basically hung out the whole trip. Justlostone finally got to meet my mom. She took us out to Sushi dinner on Wednesday night and we walked around Denver a bit. I took Dave to "bum park", I can't remember the actual name for the park but it's where most of the downtown Denver bums hang out, right next to the capital and Denver library.
We also tried out some food at a restaurant my cousin wanted to show us. He's a sou-chef at a fancy-shmancy restaurant in Boulder so I usually trust his food choices. We went to a small place called Bones where he ordered us some appetizers to try. We ate the weirdest stuff.....bone marrow, ovaltine and froot loop ice cream, es cargo pot stickers, and some soup which I can't remember what was in it. I tried everything but the es cargo pot stickers. The bone marrow was surprisingly very tasty!
My youngest sister works at a water amusement park called Water World so she got us some free tickets in on Saturday. I got a ridiculous sunburn which I'm sure is just going to peel away since I'm unable to get any kind of tan. Sunday night we did a huge barbecue at my pop's place. Justlostone was dubbed grill master. We cooked up some hamburgers, brats, corn husks, along with some chicken wings and fries my dad fried up in a deep fryer, and the usual potato salad, macaroni salad, and baked beans. Needless to say, we had way too much food. But it was damn tasty!
Monday morning my pops took Dave and me to Boulder Falls which is evidently closed forever due to "falling rocks" but we hoped the gate anyways because GD we drove all that way and we weren't leaving until we saw some BOULDER FALLS! So Dave threw some rocks in the river.
Back to Chicago Monday afternoon. Caught a flight out of Denver at 5pm, had an hour layover, then got into chicago around 11pm. Justlostone and I both had to go back to work on Tuesday and now today is my day off since i've been back, the past whole TWO days. Haha. I only say that because I work tomorrow, saturday, sunday, monday, and tuesday.
But it's cool, I could use the hours.
Kraven and I are trying to get plans together for our shoot next Friday. I'm getting a bit stressed out over it only because I want it to be perfect and some elements are against me. I really wanna loose a few pounds before the shoot even though it's only a week away. And we want to get some matching bikini's for the mutli but I can't even afford to pay my phone bill right now so I really don't know how I'm going to be able to buy a new bikini. I plan on figuring that puzzle out within the next few days, hopefully. Everything will always get better, that's all I have to remind myself of.
I feel like I just wrote a novel so if anyone is still reading to this point, kudos! Haha.
