I quit my new job this morning
. The funny thing is, today was my first day.
I was going to pick up a part time job for a little extra "walking around money". I actually applied at a few places and even sent a resume to Elph. But yesterday, while I was at my real job, I realized that I love my time more than $$$. I love being able to play with my kids during the daytime. I love being able to go on a bike ride out in the country and not have to put up with the weekend masses. I will never be able to go to a movie when the theater is full - I am too used to weekday matinees.
Oh well, I guess I don't have that capitalist spirit. I'm just stuck in the civil servant frame of mind. I might not ever get rich, but at least I'll never have to punch a timecard for some dickhead boss.

So true. If you are happy that is truly the most valuable thing in existence. Be free, and enjoy it. Cheers for valuing life over money!

Money doesn't buy you happiness, as they say. I hated clocking in and out with 200 other people every day in a steady, safe bland job.
