I went to get a vehicle smogged today, expecting it to fail. I took it to the shop but the guys couldn't test it because the DMV has it flagged for a "test only station". This is a place that runs a smog test but can't fix the vehicle if it fails. So I took it to the "test only"place, where it failed as I'd planned on.(80 bucks)
Now, I can take it to the shop and have them fix it to bring it up to par. Then, (this is the funny part) I have to take it back to the "Test only" and shell out another $80 to get it tested again. What a racket.
