welcome to san francisco!
today was my first full day being/living in san francisco.
SPOILERS! (Click to view)
i did a little tour of polk street today. first to the east, getting to the bay and getting to see the Girardelli Square which is preparing for it's 14th annual chocolate festival in early september. wow! something for sure that the boys will love to go to! from there i walked to this area where you can see Alcatraz Island and it was bombarded with tons of tourists and street artists. so i hit up walgreens and stocked up on essentials like body wash and toothpaste. on my way home i stopped in this neat little shop called "1/2" where i bought a nifty metro guide to SF and a book on how to hide nutritious foods inside foods that kids love. i got it because the youngest don't eat anything besides gogurt, plain pasta, chow mein, white rice, and strawberries. psht. coooooooooooooom on. carrots are delicious!! and so are so many other vegetables and fruits. this kid doesn't know what's coming!! anyways...after shopping i headed home for some leftover chinese lunch and to unload my purchases.
so i ate and then headed back out for a western adventure down polk st. i wandered wayy down and then went south into some really shoppy area with lots of people. i did get to walk through a little outside art show in a nice park. some good stuff. on my way home i found a nice park that i layed down in the grass for a long while. i read some of my new book, "pride and prejudice and zombies," which is actually really good. i loves it. i love laying in parks and people watching or just listening and soaking up some sun on a good day. today was such nice weather! like a perfect day to me. cool morning and warm-but-not-hot afternoon and early evening and then a cool-but-almost-brisk evening. so so nice.
after getting home i showered and sent my resume to a little cafe/deli i happened upon today. hopefully they call! would be sooo great! erika to barista and sandwich maker extraordinaire. :] i said goodbye to little finn before the family left to tahoe for the weekend and then headed out the door for some grub. i went to a sushi place on polk called Sushi Rock. hahaha. their little theme is 'whatever we can't rock, we roll.' so cute. i had seaweed and cucumber salad, miso soup, matthew roll[which was soooo soooo good] and a little scoop of ice cream. everything was so good. i will def be going back for more.
anyways. i took some photos today. this is for you. woooord
