Time to start reviewing sets.
Now before I start I want to say I love SG. I am not here to bash others sets and I hope no one takes offense! I have nothing but love here!
I think that MR has kind of gotten SG into a rut. Similar styles by the same popular SG's and photographers are what is bought. MR is a popularity based system and there are lots of great things that slip through the cracks. Some great sets make it (for obvious reasons) but many are under appreciated and lost. AnnaLee has a great blog about this and a wonderful idea on how to bring about change.
I am VERY picky when it come to photography and modeling. I personally believe a set should be more then a girl by a window in a cute outfit getting undressed and laying on the bed/couch or floor and that everything but her eyes should be super blurred.... We can do better! Photographers here LOVE natural light (which is fine) but that has the tendency to give a VERY shallow DOF because of low light availability. Focus seems to wonder to the nose, chin or hair and the eyes are blurred. Lighting affects much more then exposure and shadows. Low light also means blurry shots, or ones that are not as sharp as they could be. I have also noticed that we get touch-up happy. We know not everyone is perfect and the last thing I want to see is a plastic doll... Lets keep it realistic!
I will start out with two wonderful sets.
