Time for my quarterly bitch session.
Essentially the usual shit is happening, except I think my cat Keiko has cancer.
About three weeks ago we found a lump in her 'breast' and she had a bruised, swollen, pus-leaking nipple. (DELIGHTFUL!)
So on taking her to the vet, she was given a course of antiboitics and told that if it went down over the next fortnight it was an infection.
No such luck. Round two trip to the vet confirms that it is either at best, cyst growing around her breast duct or at worst, a tumor. The only way they'll know is by opperating on her and performing a biopsy. So over the last month I've been desperately trying to save $1600 to get the kitty some surgery. Either way, things look bad for her.
She goes under the scalpel next thursday, so cross your paws that she's okay for me, please?
She's not a young cat. About 7-8. But that said, she's not old either. She's affectionate and sweet.. but I don't know where I'm supposed to come up with that kind of money AND eat/rent for the next month.

Is she sterilized?
Operation with anesthesia for a biopsy????? Bullshit. They'd want to take the whole lump for that.... And send it to pathology.
I'm surprised they haven't done a fine needle aspirate.... They suck out some cells for looking at under micro scope for answers... It's a little uncomfortable but there's no need for a full GA....
