Belated happy new year, my loves.
Its been a hectic time over the last few weeks. Moreso than usual. Let me give you the run down.
I started december with a lovely case of pneumonia, which saw me floored for a good three weeks, missing the SG bris BBQ that I myself had organized. Though, apparently no-one went, so all good
I have had my sister and niece staying with me since dec 1 too, up for a pre-christmas visit. Unfortunately, whilst up here my sister flipped her switch and went batshit crazy at a local swimming pool and she has to be hospitalized until they find out what was wrong with her.
Christmas day was the usual bunch of family arguments involving me both cooking for and ruining christmas day.
The menu was Maple glazed ham, roast vegetables in duckfat, green bean salad, plum pudding, which everyone said was delicious except my aunt, who openly criticized my food to everyone there at the same time talking up her platter of sliced carrot and dip. Then accusing me of ruining christmas when I told her where to put her carrots and dips when I heard what she'd said.
New years was the best I've had in a while. Me and my friends cooked Sukiyaki, drank a shit load of sake and watched bad movies til the wee hours. We celebrated new years day with hotcakes from mcdonalds.
There's alot of good news now though. My sister has been diagnosed with bi-polar disorder and whilst that itself is not good news, a diagnosis means she can be treated. She'll be out of the hospital by friday and back down in victoria (I love her, but she's a pain in the arse) by february.
In short, happy new years, I hope santa (satan, depending on how you've been this year) brought you all you wanted and may 2010 bring you untold happiness <3
