The best thing to ever come of Euro-centric white male thinking is the Return of the King movie.
"My friends... You bow to no one."
(Leslie weeps.)
Went and saw it again with Emory's little brother (who looks about forty with his new rugged facial hair). He was proud because on this, his third viewing, he only cried once.
Went rummaging around in old drawers today and found some sad-making stuff. Like the photo of my French sister-friend Maeve, playing with my Willow action figure. Heh.. they just love Buffy Contre Les Vampires over there. Little known fact: That Willow doll is totally French. Maeve and I bought her in Marseilles (So her name is actually pronounced Weelo. And her best friend is Boofee). I miss Maeve. She was cool.
Also found a note written to me by Maria, the Russian-Scottish girl (Don't know why all the foreign friends were surfacing today). I wonder if she's okay. I wonder if she's still with evil evil Colin. I wonder if anyone's pushed him into a shark tank yet.
I remember sitting with Maria in the park on the one and only sunny day in Glasgow. She's crying and eating green grapes and saying she loves me and is afraid of Colin but she can't break up with him and so can't be my friend anymore because it's too hard.
Yeah, that was such a fun ordeal. Gah...
I also found a picture of my ex-kitty, the one that got squashed in the garage door. I'm not sure why all of this ended up in one drawer-o-depression.
But on the up side, I seem to be magically deep-funk-proof today, and was only sad about all this for about an hour or two. Then I had a popsicle and felt fine.
Maybe I'll watch some Boofee Contre Les Vampires and be a slug for the rest of the night.
