Another day in Colorado. Ventured outside today; got all layered up to go tromping in the snow... Turns out it's hard to "tromp" when the show is hip-deep. It's more like... Wading? But without the easy. You have to sort of heave yourself forward, and your foot just keeps going down and down and down. Even when you get something solid under your boot, you know it's not REALLY the ground. You're just not going to find that. What's fun is when you spread out your weight enough not to totally sink. I could lie on my back and not sink more than a few inches. After about a hundred yards, I turned around to come back to the house... Such hard, slow work... It took a long time just to get back, with my weak low-lander lungs struggling to dig some oxygen out of the thin air I'm gulping.
And then I felt a little guilty every time I looked outside. Of course, I destroyed the flawlessly smooth snowscape with my stupid trek. Nothing is secret in the snow, not even foxes in their stealthy little journeys.
Maybe the wind will hide it eventually.
In general, a boring day. Played games with the family. Egh. Rented the snowboard I'll kill myself with tomorrow.
Yeah. Hm. My camera battery died, making me very annoyed. Nothing else. Mostly just watched Buffy DVDs, but whenever the little girls came in to watch, I had to skip past the racy parts. Also, I could tell Kerry and her friend were... Confused? Unsettled? Embarassed? by the lesbian relationship. It was hard to gauge their reactions. But at least it was a positive exposure to the girl-on-girl concept, I guess. Kerry thinks Willow is the coolest character, so maybe she'll just learn that all the cool kids are queer. Meh.
Tommorrow the mountain. Gah.

Me too!
Where are you, if you don't mind me asking.... And how long are you here for?
Well, have fun, and tomorrow looks to be very windy, and it was below zero when I left! CRAZY!
