So the pear tree was proper fucked. Mersha raced to pluck the remaining pears before they too turned black and crumbled away, but she could save only one.
It was at about this time that she decided she'd had enough. She raised her hands to the heavens and shouted out her divine presence, which is what gods do when they want to talk to other gods. The result was that she was surrounded by the ghostly images of her god-family, who, though far away, could do this spooky-astral-projection-meeting-thing with Mersha. They all seemed excited to see her... It had been a long time since the last one of these. Mersha's grandmother, the Goddess of Coniferous Trees, spoke first, "You've lost weight. Why'd you do that? You looked just fine. Hey, what's wrong with your tree?"
Mersha ignored the first bit and went straight to, "I don't know what happened to my tree. First there was this girl-beast ripping up a tuna, then she went away and there was this flash of light underwater and then I looked up and my tree was freaking out!"
All of Mersha's brothers and sisters and aunts and cousins looked at the tree. It had indeed freaked out.
"Girl-beast?" Asked one of her brothers, "What sort of girl-beast?"
"I don't know, I've never seen one like it. She was sort of like a person, but with a huge fish-snake-monster tail and she was covered from head to toe and green sprinky scales. She had sharp claws and teeth and seemed intent on completely shredding one of Onea's singing tuna!"
"Aw!" Said Onea.
Mersha decided to leave out the part about the girl being severly hot, since it was not entirely relevant.
More soon.
