Everything's been insane these past few days.
For starters, we know a guy who works for the right people so we got invites to the X2 dvd release party in Hollywood. I must say.... It was AWESOME. Open bar, yummy food, people they had hired to walk around dressed in the movie costumes, being the characters... And oh... "mutanty"-weird dancing chicks (and a few guys, but who cares about them...) all over. Holy bejesus were they hot. Especially this one girl with a huge fuscia mohawk and wicked tats all over her back. Mmm, dykalicious... Oh, and the two girls who would grind against each other while hula-hooping in a single hoop? Impressive and super-hot.
Anyway, Stan Lee was there. Everyone was shitting themselves to get his autograph, but I bet none of them are familiar with the comic book he wrote in the 70s called "No Man is my Master." It's about a girl who learns why feminism is wrong. Yeah. So not only is he a crazy old man who shouts "Excelsior!" after all his speeches, but he's also an asshole (or at least was a while ago. Who knows what he thinks now).
Well, the highlight of the evening was the "mutant competition," where people (who had sort of auditioned beforehand) came as a mutant they had thought up, and went up on stage to explain/perform the mutant abilities. Stan Lee judged the competition and our friend won!! He won one of those flat plasma TVs, an X-Box, a Playstation 2, and a huge pile of whatever DVDs he wants, pretty much.
Holy. Shit. (This is the friend that's living with my boy for the time being. So I get to mooch. Hurray!)
Also, Stan Lee said that our friend should send his card, because the people at the X-Men comics might want to use the character he thought up. (that part just might be that Stan is old and senile and thinks he has more power than he does...), but still. It was awesome. AWESOME!!
I felt very swanky.
Also, Queer/Straight Prom is tonight. The theme is "Time Warp"... You got dressed as your favorite decade. So what am I going as? The 2240's. The FUUUUUU-TUUUUURE! And I have a pint of liquid latex for a shirt. ROCK. Hopefully (if it turns out cool), I'll post pictures eventually.
Christ, speaking of pictures... I need to give Misha and TarNish their photos.
(I'm workin on it! I haven't forgotten ya!)

Tonight I'll be at the queer party too, dressed in my stylin 80s debutante dress. Excellent.
Anyway, nice to find a fellow SG fan in the Claremont Colleges!
I'm jealous, I want to go to a swanky party and win fabu prizes!
